Change of Plans? Seattle Elopements!

Did your wedding plans change due to the pandemic? I know it’s hard time especially for couples who were planning to get married this year and celebrate with family and friends. The great news, however, is that you still CAN! Ever consider eloping instead? Or holding a very intimate celebration?

First of all, I’m so sorry that you’ve had to change your plans.
But remember, LOVE IS NOT CANCELLED.
You can still celebrate (and social distance, too).

I’m stoked that you’re here, and I’m happy to help you turn lemons into lemonade. Even if you didn’t think you'd ever elope before, we’re here to help you with everything that you need to know about getting married. Elopements are pretty wonderful and can make getting married EVEN MORE special since that time is whittled down just for you two.

Since we’re all dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic, many couples are postponing their big weddings but still are getting married… via elopement! I’ve been working with my couples to ensure that we’re adhering to all Washington State public health and CDC + WHO guidelines. This means staying home for the time being. When our reopens for “non-essential” businesses like mine, I’ll continue to practice social (i.e. real physical distancing) standards.

HOW DO WE ELOPE?

It’s easier than you think.
A Location That Feels Like You + You Two +
Your 2 Witnesses + me = Your Lovely Elopement.

We’re lucky to live in such a beautiful state so there’s no shortage of spots you can choose. I can recommend some spots and see how that lines up with your vision. It all depends on what kind of experience you want to have. Do you like to hike? Or would prefer a cool city elopement (my personal favorite!).

Think about who you want to be there to witness your elopement? Check in with them and see if they can join you two while safely experiencing this quite time together. Also, I’m actually ordained so I can help sign your marriage license before you submit back your local county to make the marriage legal. If you want someone to lead your ceremony, I recommend enlisting the help of an officiant.

Then contact me. I’m happy to help you plan a special and intimate celebration that doesn’t require you to cancel your wedding plans. Think of it as an added bonus. You can always have a big party later when it’s safe and legal to do so. And if you’re wanting to share the love with the folks who can’t be physically present, we can brainstorm together on how to get them involved (hello, live-streaming).
