What’s a Mini Session? And Why Should I Book One?

If you’re new to Mini Sessions, think of them like a “bite” of photography. Minis are quick sessions meant for easy life updates, say, for things like holiday cards or a new headshot. Many families actually book multiple minis with me throughout the year to document how much their kids grow in a short time.

As with all my portrait sessions and having photographed well over 200+ families, I work to make this easy for you.

Your Mini Session Includes:

  • 20 minutes photography time, easy breezy.

  • 15 edited, high resolution selects of your choice via your Online Gallery within a two weeks. You’ll also have the option to purchase the full gallery and printed products in your own Print Shop.

  • If you’re looking for a more all-inclusive session, contact me for a full session that we can plan together. More time = way more options for you.

COVID-19 Policies:

  • All sessions will be held outdoors. No contact, all physically distanced.

  • Libby (who is coordinating while I photograph) and I will be masked, as always.

  • No shared props. Also we will be sanitizing between each and every session.

FAQS

Have some burning questions about Minis?
Check out a few answers to my most frequent questions about mini sessions.

How Do I Sign Up for a Mini Session?

Choose one of the sessions above and make sure to go through the Checkout process. I only host these at select times of year. Dates/times are first come first serve. If you have any questions, be sure to email me!

What if it rains?

In Washington, it’s a given so we’ll also have umbrellas (sanitized, of course) available to use and being creative in some shaded spots. If the weather is absolutely horrible, we’ll work to reschedule your session.

What time should we arrive?

You’ll receive a calendar reminder to arrive promptly to the location 10 minutes before your session time slot. Also my associate Libby will be onsite to be in communication with you and direct you over to where I am are photographing. Plus to ensure there are no overlaps with families.

What should we bring?

You and your loved ones. And a blanket you don’t mind sitting on the ground. For parents with kids, bring your usual bag of goodies (snacks, sippy cup to treat your kids post photoshoot). As with previous sessions, I will always have plenty of hand sanitizer and individual water bottles on hand for you.

What if we're late?

Please make sure we have your correct phone number on file since Libby will be looking for you onsite. Both Libby and I are parents with small children so we totally get it. (Pro tip: Tell yourself to leave an hour before you need to and have your outfits ready to go the night prior. It always takes me a while to get out of the house with my toddlers.)
