Photoshoot Prep Guide
For Your Seattle Airbnb Listing
GENERAL
Your entire rental space, interior & exterior, will be photographed in a way that will appeal to Airbnb guests. The intent of this photoshoot is to show off your home’s best features for a guest stay.
If You Do Nothing Else, Do These Things:
Remove clutter.
Wash your windows + open curtains.
Vacuum/mop floors and wipe dust from surfaces.
Turn off ceiling fans and open blinds/shades and curtains.
Be ready to showcase the details that make your Airbnb unique and welcoming to guests. It helps to also give me a list of amenities you have in your listing to make I get those details.
TURN OFF LIGHTS
Please turn off all lamp lights. This will help reduce difficult color casts in editing.
OPEN THE BLINDS
Open all blinds, shades, and curtains. This will help bring in natural light and reveal external views.
Remove Decorations
Remove towels, stuffed animals, bed runners, flowers, and any other additional decorative items from beds.
DE-Clutter
Remove any items from any tables, countertops, and other surfaces. This will help rooms look open.
EXTERIOR TIPS
Remove all vehicles from driveway and do not park directly in front of your house.
Move garbage and recycling cans out of sight.
Remove all garden tools, and clutter.
Pick up after your pets in the yard.
Remove all children’s toys, bikes, etc from the yard and deck/patio.
Mow the grass, rake leaves and debris, pull weeds and remove any dead vegetation.
Sweep driveways, sidewalks and deck/patio.
Straighten outdoor furniture.
Schedule repairs well before photo shoot.
