WEDDING DAY QUESTIONNAIRE

Hey there, I know you probably have a thousand things on your plate already… This questionnaire should provide me all the details I need so that your day can go off without a hitch.

This part is vital to making sure I have the correct places and times to be on your big day. If there is anything you do, please make sure it is this questionnaire ;)

  • I’ll need your responses back about two weeks before your wedding to allow for time changes and any other last minute details we need to adjust.

  • If there items that don’t apply to you, simply skip or type in N/A if there’s a text box.

  • If you’re wondering what’s the best timing for things, ping me and check out my Wedding Guide (ping me for the password).

PART 1 // The Essentials

And who exactly should we check-in with?
Allow at least 30 minutes.
Gimme 10 minutes right after your ceremony so you can revel in the glory of being freshly married!
These are best about an hour within sunset and one of the few times I can get photos of just the two of you.
And who should we check out with?
MORE DETAILS
so that I can get in touch with you if necessary!
Having this info can help me (and my second photographer) just be aware and more sensitive to any family dynamics. Weddings can bring out the best and sometimes the worst in people.
GETTING READY
(Name and address if NOT the ceremony location). If possible, I suggest that you plan to get ready at a pretty indoor location with great window light, so that I can get some amazing photos. (Dark rooms are not good for getting ready photos.) My second photographer and I can work in a church room, but I always suggest looking into an alternative location. Hotel rooms and master bedrooms work great! Please be mindful of your environment and designate your wedding party to tidy up if you want clutter-free photos.

I strongly suggest one simple outdoor location with great light and a few different scene options for the best results.
RECEPTION
What time do you two need to be at your Reception?
What time do you two need to be at your Reception?
What events will be happening at your Reception? Please select as many as you wish.
Will the Bride / Partner #1 be changing into a reception dress?
Especially for long days, your Vendor team (photographer, DJ, coordinator, etc.) can recharge and refuel for about 30 minutes. Usually this is scheduled during your Dinner reception.

Part 2 // Photography “Shot List”

Let’s make sure we have adequate time built-in for the photos! Unlike some other photographers, I’m not above a “Shot List” since I want to make sure to get the shots you’re hoping for….if these are important to you.

DETAILS + GETTING READY + YOUR BRIDAL PORTRAITS
Allow for about 2 hours. Especially longer for bridesmaids as they can a long time to get ready.
FIRST LOOK
Allow about 45 minutes. Also and make sure to communicate where you want these to happen and to not have your guests there for this.
WEDDING PARTY PORTRAITS
Allow about 30 minutes.
FAMILY "FORMALS" (aka the VIP's)
Allow 30+ minutes or more. Please make sure to tell these VIP's where and when they need to be ahead of time. This is where your designated "wrangler" will guide your family to our designated photo spot. No more than 6-8 combos, pretty please.
Since you hired me for my candid style, that'll be a given for these kinds of shots. Also things like the exchange of your vows, rings, and your First Kiss. If there are any other important, like really specific details you want us to capture, please list here.
RECEPTION
The hope is to get shots of an EMPTY room and all the gorgeous decor before guests arrive if at all possible. This will usually be done by the second shooter so please let me know how far away the reception is from the ceremony and a time that I might get in before guests are there. Note: Please only include those shots that are so unique that I would not otherwise know about if you didn't tell me.
NEWLYWEDS STEAL AWAY / SUNSET PHOTOS
Sneak away from your Reception for about 20 minutes. Please make sure to let your DJ know these are happening so they can distract your guests.
