How I Invest in You as My Client
Were you ever curious how I invest back in you, as my client? Just wanted to share some behind-the-scenes on how important your investment in working me as your photographer and continue to improve my experience for you.
A few things that you might know, maybe not? You tell me!
// EDUCATION:
I'm always working on continuing education to better my skills in photography and business. I dedicate certain percentage of my profits (after taxes and all other expenses of running a business) to classes, workshops, virtual conferences. Just like you in your field, I spend the time to learn the latest techniques, network with others in my line of work, and update my practices to reflect what I’ve learned/
// EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE + UPGRADES:
Yup, cameras lenses have lifespans and need attention, too. I’ve had equipment fail on me and it’s expensive to fix broken camera parts. I upgraded my lens (Nikon 35mm 1.4 this last season as I was finding that one of my go-to’s was aging out and ready to be retired permanently. Same deal with getting my cameras preventative maintenance. I also have to purchase a new computer this year finally as my MAC battery is about to die.
// SCOUTING LOCATIONS:
I take the time to go visit locations I recommend to you AHEAD OF TIME. This is not always easy as location does matter and so does knowing the lighting conditions in a certain time of day.
