FAQ’s For Family Sessions

Whatever life stage you’re in, you’ll never be there again. Be sure to document it.  I’m here to help!

 

Family photos don’t need to
feel like family photos.
No “matchY matchy” here.
No tears or fits.

Some tips to help for a chill session with you and your beloved:

  • Keep colors simple, no more than one pattern between a couple, 3-4 colors in the scheme. Wear what makes you feel good and at your best. No logos, no matching, skip neon colors.

  • For babies, keep it neutral, warm, and cozy with your love. And nice blankets.

But…what if my kids aren’t behaving or have a meltdown during the shoot?
Congrats, they are 100% totally normal! As a mom of two toddlers, I know exactly how these things go and have been there. Regardless of how your child is acting, I promise to work with you on getting some great shots.

Here are some things that can help:

  • If you can, make sure your kids are well-rested and healthy the day of the shoot. Adjust nap times if necessary.

  • If your child is sick, please contact me to reschedule! I understand, and sick kids really do not like to be photographed.

  • For outdoor shoots, remember to bring water for your children, as well as snacks in case they get hungry or irritable.

  • If your kiddo that has a favorite lovey or other comfort item, please bring it!

  • For babies a year and under, it can help to bring a few objects that always capture their interest or make them giggle. This will help them focus on the camera instead of all the exciting stuff around us.
